[zashin-1.ged] 1st Lord Beauchamp of Powick. He is designated "of Powick, Worc estershire; Alcester, Warwickshire; and Boddington, Child's Wick ham, and Kemerton, Gloucestershire. In 1438, he was guardian o f the extensive lands of his cousin, Henry, earl of Warwick. H e was justice of South Wales, lord treasurer of England; and con stable of Gloucester Castle. He was the second son and heir t o his brother. He fought in France in 1424, 1428, and 1429. I n 1442 he served as feoffee for his brother-in-law, William de F errers, Lord Ferrers of Chartley. He was created Lord Beaucham p of Powick by patent dated May 2, 1447, with an annunity of 11 5 pounds out of the city of Gloucester and elsewhere.
